ObsCure (video game)

ObsCure is developed by Hydravision Entertainment and published by MC2 - Microïds survival horror game for PlayStation 2, Xbox and Windows PCs. The port for the PlayStation Portable was released by Playlogic.

Action

The game is about five young people who attend the fictional Leafmore High School. At school said there was, decades before the plot of the game, cases of students who disappeared and never showed up. As a teenager - Kenny Matthews - disappears, making the remaining four on the search for him and stay after class in the school building. There they witness an incomprehensible horror. Gradually turns out that the director has something to do with the disappearance of the students and some shady dealings come to light.

Special

A special feature of the game is that it can be played in pairs. To this end, players take control of each one of the five characters and roam along the school building. If alone is played, the second figure to the " Sidekick ", i.e., it follows the steered by the player character and defend this as well. Another special feature is that you can during a match is the ability to switch characters.

As a template of the game was the course of the film The Faculty.

Music in the game

Obscure II / The Aftermath

On 27 September 2007 the sequel Obscure II for PlayStation 2, PC appeared (Windows) and Wii, Publisher is this time Playlogic Entertainment. Under the title Obscure: The Aftermath also appeared on 9 October 2009, a port of the second part for the PlayStation Portable.

The plot of Obscure II starts around two years after the events of the first part. The main characters of the first part lead a normal life again, some now visit the university. With the emergence of a strange plant on campus, however, the battle for survival begins anew.

It has, in contrast to the first part, but dispenses with a German synchronization.
