Dror Zahavi

Dror Zahavi (Hebrew דרור זהבי; born February 6, 1959 in Tel Aviv) is an Israeli film director who mainly works for German television.

Life

Zahavi grew up in a poor area in the south of Tel Aviv. In 1982 he went to East Germany, where he was studying directing at the Academy of Film and Television " Konrad Wolf" was made possible in Potsdam- Babelsberg, with a scholarship. His graduation film Alexander Penn - I will be all in all, 1988 was nominated for the Student Oscar. After studying Zahavi worked as a film critic in Israel. First, during the fall of 1989 and then finally in 1991 he returned to Berlin, where he has lived ever since. After numerous television work he published in 2008 his first feature film For My Father which addressed the political conflict between Israel and Palestine.
