Dubrovački trubaduri

Dubrovački Trubaduri ( Serbo-Croatian for troubadours from Dubrovnik ) was a Yugoslav band that was successful in the 1960s and 1970s. Their style of music ranged from pop and a kind of folk, which was inspired by the Italo- Dalmatian music of the early modern period. Accordingly, they sometimes occurred in historical costumes.

The band was founded in 1962. Members were (as of 1968):

  • Delo Jusić (guitar, mandolin, etc., also a composer )
  • Luci Kapurso (clarinet, etc.)
  • Hamo Hajdarhodžić (guitar etc. )
  • Marko Brešković ( * 1942, † August 30, 2010: Bass Guitar)
  • Ladislav Padjen
  • Slobodan Berdović

In 1968, the band with the song Jedan dan (One day) the Yugoslav advance Scheid to Euro Vision Song Contest. However, since the former rules of the ESC did not allow bands, but only solo artists or duos with a maximum of three background singers, Luci Kapurso and Hamo Hajdarhodžić competed as a duo, three other band members were declared as background vocalists. The contribution finished level on points with the contributions from Belgium and Monaco the 7th Place.

Until the late 1970s, the band recorded several LPs and singles.
