Duke Philipp of Württemberg

Duke Philip Alexander Maria Ernst von Württemberg ( born July 30, 1838 in Neuilly -sur -Seine, † October 11, 1917 in Stuttgart) was the son of Duke Alexander Friedrich Wilhelm of Württemberg and Marie Christine of Orléans, a member of the House of Württemberg.

Life

The mother died when the son was only six months old, he was brought to the court in Paris, where he was raised by his grandparents King Louis Philippe of France and Queen Marie Amélie.
