Dulce Figueiredo

Dulce Figueiredo (* May 11, 1928, † June 6, 2011 in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro; born Dulce Maria de Castro Guimarães ) was the wife of the Brazilian General João Figueiredo and during his term as president from 1979 to 1985 First Lady of Brazil.

From the marriage with Figueiredo had two sons. After her husband's death in December 1999, she auctioned off in 2001 from his estate 218 objects, including one donated by Ronald Reagan bronze sculpture of a cowboy, two paintings by Di Cavalcanti, a Rochus statue obtained by Antonio Carlos Magalhães, an inkwell of the Spanish King Juan Carlos I., a silver dish of Augusto Pinochet and a cigar box by Valéry Giscard d' Estaing.
