Dungarpur (Hindi: डूंगरपुर, Dungarpur ) is a town with about 43,000 inhabitants in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is the capital of the district of the same name.

Dungarpur, also known as " City of Hills ", was founded in the 13th century and was the capital of the former princely state of Dungarpur. From the old town, surrounded by defensive walls still intact, located high on a mountain, only archaeological remains are to be seen, while the new city spreads in the valleys. Because of their numerous blue-colored houses, the city is often compared to the Indian city of Jodhpur.

Worth seeing is the ruins of the old Maharaja's palace from the 14th century, the Juna Mahal Haweli with its murals. The newer Maharaja palace from the 19th century was partly to a hotel Udai Bilas Palace, converted and, with its location on the lake itself is a landmark of the place represents the family of the former Maharaja still resides in a wing of the palace.
