Dust (Band)

Dust was an American hard rock band that was active in the early 1970s.

History

Dust was founded in the late 1960s by Richard Wise, Kenny Aaronson and Marc Bell. Kenny Kerner wrote the lyrics of the band and worked as a producer and manager. Their debut album was released on Kama Sutra Records in 1971, in the following year a second album on the same label was released. Nowadays, these two only the band's albums are appreciated by collectors and music lovers as unusually early Heavy Metal Works.

After the dissolution

All band members went on the resolution of Dust other projects.

Mid-1970s, Bell worked with Wayne County and the Backstreet Boys, Richard Hell & The Estus and Voidoids. In 1978, he replaced Thomas Erdelyi at the Ramones and adopted the stage name Marky Ramone. The Ramones were included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 and were recognized in 2011 with the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for her life's work. Meanwhile Bell has worked as a radio host, he is also active with his band, Marky Ramone's Punk Rock Blitzkrieg. In addition, he had been in many TV shows and series guest appearances.

Aaronson played in the stories with which he was able to land in the 1970s in the United States several number - one hits. He also went with Edgar Winter, among others, Joan Jett, Bob Dylan, Billy Idol, Billy Squier, Foghat, HSAS, Brian Setzer, Mick Taylor, Dave Edmunds, Graham Parker, Hall and Oates, Leslie West, Rick Derringer on tour.
