Criticism

Blocking of certain landline phone numbers

In June 2008 it was announced that E -Plus - similar to O ₂ and Vodafone - significantly limits the accessibility of the numbers of certain voice chat systems. These numbers are normal landline phone numbers that can be called free of charge as part of fixed flat rates and cause a high volume of calls in practice. It takes E-Plus in contrast to O2 not only a limitation of the call volume before, but disables the affected numbers completely.

In February 2009, these locks have been expanded since then include some providers of business telephone conferences. Also affected are certain providers of calling cards, on their phones calls can be made abroad and to special numbers cost effective. Due to the lockout, it is the customer impossible to take advantage of these services, but this is covered by the Conditions. The landline flat rates of most mobile operators include " services use " via landline numbers in the rule. Also it is not provided by the Federal Network Agency to offer on Endteilnehmeranschlüssen mass services.
