Easy Lover is a song written by Philip Bailey and Phil Collins from 1984, which was written by Bailey, Collins, and Nathan East.

Background

The song appeared on Bailey's solo album Chinese Wall, which was produced by Collins. Collins also played the drums on the album. Contact with Bailey came across the fan of his band Earth, Wind and Fire; Collins had collaborated since 1981 on several occasions with them.

After the studio work for Chinese Wall were initially completed, agreed Collins and bassist East that it still a song with hit potential was missing that you would like to publish as a single.
