Ebersmunster Abbey

The monastery Ebersmünster was a former Benedictine monastery in the Alsatian community Ebersmünster. The Abbey Church of St. Mauritius is still preserved.

Foundation

History

Thanks to the support of Adalrich, the father of St. Odilia and later also canonized St. Hunna of Hunawihr, the monastery quickly reached the bloom. However, in the Thirty Years' War, the Swedes burned the reliquary of Ebersmünster.
