Écommoy

Écommoy is a municipality with 4679 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in France. It is located in the department of Sarthe and in the Pays de la Loire. Its inhabitants are called Écomméens.

Geography

Écommoy is about 20 km south of Le Mans. The Sarthe flows 9 km away to the northwest.

Infrastructure

The main road N138 from Le Mans to Tours leads through the village. The Autoroute A28 from Le Mans to Tours runs east at 5 km.

Twinning

Écommoy maintains since 1977 a partnership for the Lower Saxon town of Stuhr ( Diepholz ). Since 2002, moreover, an annual youth exchange between communities takes place.
