A man conquered anxiety is an American black and white film from 1956 with John Cassavetes and Sidney Poitier in the lead roles. In the U.S., the film came on 29 January 1957 in the cinemas in Germany then on 2 August of the same year.

Action

The searched deserter Axel Nordmann takes under a false name to a job at the port of New York, where a shady foreman who knows about the history of the deserters, his silence can pay dearly. Through his friendship with the black colleague Tommy Tyler, who takes him to the foreman in protection and thereby must leave his life, learns of the deserter Nordmann, to face his destiny and grow it beyond itself.
