Edi is a Polish film directed by Piotr Trzaskalski. Premiere, the film had on 18 October 2002.

Action

Edi and his friend Jurek are Gypsies, who make their living by collecting scrap. Edi meets one day two Ziegeuner who offer him tutor her sister, who they call Princess to be. Edi, who has a great love for books, accepts the offer. The nurse is imprisoned by her brothers in the house, to avoid that it has contact with other men. Edi has pity on her and allows her to escape from the house one day. You take the chance and meets with her friend, a gypsy boy. When she becomes pregnant, some time later, the suspicion of the brothers are drawn to the gypsy boy. The princess protects him, claiming that Edi had raped her. For Edi is castrated by the brothers and later child will " be " given to him to wind it. Edi, knowing that it is not his child, does not object. Edi goes to the country and attracts there the kid. At the baptism of the child unexpectedly appear on the Princess and the biological father of the child to pick up their child.
