Edílson

Edílson da Silva Ferreira, artist name Edílson, ( born September 17, 1971 in Salvador ) is a former Brazilian footballer.

Life

Edílson has undergone many transfers in the course of his career. Since its debut in 1990 for Industrial, he worked for 16 teams. 1991/92 he played for Esporte Clube Tanabi, it was followed by a short stay in Guarani FC before he was with Palmeiras Sao Paulo Brazilian champion in 1993 and 1994.

In 1994 Edílson to Europe to Benfica, but returned in 1995 back to Palmeiras São Paulo. In 1996 he went to Japan Kashiwa Reysol, but stayed only one season. In 1997, he joined Corinthians São Paulo, where he was able to celebrate two more championships. In 1998 he was awarded the Bola de Ouro. In 2000 he went to Flamengo Rio de Janeiro. In 2002 he moved first to Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte, again in the summer to Kashiwa Reysol in Japan. Again, he only stayed one season and then returned to Flamengo. In the spring of 2004 he moved to EC Vitória. In January 2005 he went to Al Ain Club in the United Arab Emirates, but returned to Brazil in June AD São Caetano back. Since February 2006 he is in CR Vasco da Gama under contract.

Edílson played 25 times for Brazil. He stood in the squad at the 2002 World Cup and has been used in the tournament four times.
