Edino Nazareth Filho

Edino Nazareth Filho ( born June 5, 1955 in Rio de Janeiro ), short Edinho, is a former Brazilian football player and current coach.

Playing career

His football career began in 1967 as a defender for FC Fluminese in Rio de Janeiro, where he was then taken over in 1975 as a professional. 1982 moved Edinho to Udinese and then played for this club until 1987. Subsequently he partway back in Rio, this time at CR Flamengo where he remained for 1987-88 and won the Brazilian championship. In 1988, he then returned for a year to Fluminense FC and finally ended his football career in 1990 at Gremio by winning the Copa do Brasil.

From 1977 to 1986 Edinho was convened 59 times in the national football team of Brazil and scored three goals in this time for Brazil. He finished with his team at the Football World Cup 1978 in Argentina for third place. In 1976 he also played in the Olympic team of his country.

Coaching career

After ending his playing career Edinho moved again in 1991 to Fluminense and began at his favorite club, a coaching career. He spent a total of three times with this club coach (1991, 1993 and 1998). 1992 coach of Botafogo, 1993-1994 Marítimo Funchal in Portugal, in 1994/95 then at Flamengo, 1996 EC Vitória and Portuguesa in 1997.
