Edith Hannam

Edith Margaret Hannam (* as Edith Boucher November 28, 1878 in Bristol, † January 16, 1951 in Kensington) was an English tennis player and two-time Olympic gold medalist.

At the Summer Olympics in Stockholm in 1912, she won the gold medal in the individual competition in the hall. In the final she beat while the Dane Torah Castenschiold. The double competition she won with her partner Charles Dixon too. In the doubles final, they met while on the British duo Helen Aitchison / Herbert Barrett.

In 1909 she won the singles and the mixed competition in Cincinnati. In 1914 she came with her partner Ethel Thomson Larcombe in the doubles competition to the finals of Wimbledon.
