Eduardo Ciannelli

Eduardo Ciannelli (also Cianelli, Americanized Edward Ciannelli; born August 30, 1889, Ischia, † October 8, 1969 in Rome ) was an Italian actor.

Life

Ciannelli studied at the University of Naples successfully medicine, but then began a career as an opera singer. In the early 1920s he came to the United States, where he came as a stage actor in addition to performances in operas used. His Broadway debut was Rose Marie in 1925; short time he was active as a writer.

In the film he repeated twice, first for his roles in successful stage productions (1933 and 1936). Then he turned to all the film, where he was soon cast as a villain in many films, including several serials. In 1950 he returned to Italy and began his film career in the Cinecittà continued.
