Edwin Tenorio

Edwin Rolando Tenorio Montaño ( born June 16, 1976 in Esmeraldas ) is a footballer from Ecuador, which is used mostly as a defensive midfielder and is known for its high dedication.

Tenorio began his career with the Ecuadorian club Sociedad Deportiva Aucas, where he played until 1999 and where he returned in 2000 and 2001 two more times briefly over the years. In between, he played in 1999 for the Bolivian club Club Jorge Wilstermann and 2001 for CD Veracruz in Mexico. From 2002 to 2006, he plays for Ecuadorian club Barcelona SC Guayaquil. On 20 December 2006, a two-month suspension for championships and international matches was imposed after he had actively taken part in a brawl between players from Liga de Quito and Barcelona SC following the last season game a few days earlier against him. For the 2007 season, he moved to Liga de Quito. With his team he won the Ecuadorian championship this year. In the 2008 season he played for Deportivo Quito and won the championship again. After the first round of the 2009 season, he joined in the summer of 2009 to Colombia to Deportivo Pereira.

On 14 October 1998 Tenorio made ​​his debut in the Ecuadorian national soccer team. Since then, he stood in 74 internationals on the field (as of March 2007). He was one of the most experienced players in his country, who have been nominated for the 2006 World Cup; Here he was employed in all four games of his team.
