Egerton Marcus

Egerton Marcus ( born February 2, 1965 in Georgetown ( Guyana) ) is a retired Canadian boxer Guyanese origin.

Amateur

Egerton Marcus, whose uncle Charlie Amos took part for Guyana at the 1968 Olympic Games, was Canadian champion in 1985 in the light heavyweight ( 81kg - ) and 1986 and 1987 in the middleweight ( - 75kg).

Marcus took at the World Cup 1985 in Seoul second place in the light heavyweight division, he lost the final Nurmagomed Schanawasow from the Soviet Union prematurely. In the same year he also won the North American Championships.
