Egon von Jordan

Egon von Jordan ( born March 19, 1902 Castle Dux, † December 27, 1978 in Vienna; native Egon Jordan ) was an Austrian actor.

Life

He studied four semesters of law at the University of Vienna and took private acting lessons with Josef Danegger. In 1921 he made ​​his debut at the National Theatre in Vienna. From 1925 to 1930 he was engaged at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, in the 1930s he played in Vienna at the Theater an der Wien and again at the National Theatre.

Soon he appeared in his first silent films. It was established from the outset elegant men, but had to resign soon, regularly than to be minor and bit players used. Especially in the Austrian films of the 1950s, he played alongside Hofräten barons and historical figures from the time of the Imperial and Royal Monarchy.
