Eindhoven–Weert railway

The railway line Eindhoven - Weert is a railway line between Eindhoven and Weert. The railway is a short railway line in the east of the Netherlands. The distance is about 30 kilometers.

History

The railway line was opened in 1913. The route is claimed by some InterCity trains from the province of Limburg to Amsterdam or Alkmaar. With the construction of the railway line route Breda Maastricht was shortened by a few kilometers. It serves as a faster connection between the railroad Iron Rhine and Eindhoven. The electrification was completed on May 15, 1949.
