Eli Elezra

Eli Elezra (* November 24, 1960 in Jerusalem) is an Israeli- American professional poker player who lives in close proximity to Las Vegas, in Henderson, Nevada.

In Israel, he led an army command. There he suffered a leg injury. During this time he learned the game of poker. Before he became a professional poker player, he was the owner of the first Express Photo Shop in the United States.

Elezra mainly plays cash games. He is one of the best cash game players in the world and is known for his extremely aggressive style of play, but it has also brought to multiple placements at the WSOP in the prize money ranks.

In July 2004, Elezra won the Mirage Poker Showdown of the World Poker Tour, which earned him a profit of $ 1,024,574.

In the World Series of Poker 2007 he won his first bracelet in a Stud tournament. He defeated Scotty Nguyen heads up and won nearly $ 200,000. Ahead of the tournament he had signed with Barry Greenstein bet that would in case of victory earn him $ 250,000. In 2013 he won his second bracelet and $ 173,236 in 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball heads-up against Daniel Negreanu.

Eli Elezra took part in the series High Stakes Poker in part, a TV format in which a cash game and a tournament is taking place.
