Elizabeth Ashley

Elizabeth Ashley ( born July 30, 1939 in Ocala, actually Elizabeth Ann Cole ) is an American actress.

She graduated from Louisiana State University and the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. Initially she worked as a model and dancer, but then started a career on Broadway and became a major interpreter of Tennessee Williams on stage. However, the corresponding film adaptations walked past her. Her film debut was in 1963 with The Insatiable (The Carpetbaggers ). My role ranged from the comedienne to difficult psychological studies.

In 1962 she married the young colleague James Farentino and 1966 George Peppard. from this marriage was in 1968 their only child Christian forth. In 1972 divorce. Her third marriage lasted from 1976 until 1981.
