Elizabeth Perkins
Elizabeth Perkins ( born November 18, 1960 at Queens, New York ) is an American actress. She grew up in Vermont. Through her paternal grandparents she is of Greek descent. This changed when they immigrated to the U.S., her surname Pisperikos in Perkins from. After drama studies at the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago Perkins played in 1984 and 1985 in several plays. Her film debut was in 1986 in the movie About Last Night alongside Demi Moore. Continued success to her was granted from 2005 with the role of suburban housewife and mother Celia Hodes in the series Weeds, for which she was nominated several times for an Emmy, Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award.
