Life

Ellen Geer came in 1941 as the daughter of actor couple Herta Ware and Will Geer in New York City to the world. About her parents she came early with acting in touch. In 1956, she stood as an elf in a production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream for the first time on a theater stage. There were other roles at New York theaters, including the role of Desdemona in Othello and Rosalind in As You Like It.

From 1968, she also played in front of the film camera, so among other things with her father in the film comedy The Rogue (The Reivers, 1969) and in Harold and Maude ( Harold and Maude, 1971). From 1971 to 1972 she played in 24 episodes of The Jimmy Stewart Show, the daughter of James Stewart. After her father's death in 1978 she took over the management of his family's open-air theater Theatricum Botanicum, which is located in Topanga Canyon, California. For numerous performances of theater, such as for A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams, she stepped over the years as an actor and director in appearance.

In her first marriage she was married from 1963 to 1968 with the actor Ed Flanders. From this compound showed a son. With her ​​second husband, musician Peter Alsop, she has two daughters.
