Elta (river)

The Elta is a left tributary of the Danube on the Baar in the district of Tuttlingen.

Course

It rises some 780 m above sea level. NN in a wooded area between Trossingen, Spaichingen and Gunningen belonging to the Baar next to the Spaichinger district Pasture. It initially flows east past Gunningen. Immediately after Gunningen it receives from the right an influx of Lombach. It flows on to Seitingen. A left tributary at Seitingen is in Hausen ob Verena springing Dübendorf. After Seitingen it is fed by the coming of Oberflacht Schönenbach, which originates at the confluence Shura and longer than the Elta. Finally, the Elta also passes through Lingen worm, where the springing from the left at Dürbheim lazy creek empties into it before it flows into Tuttlingen, around 15 kilometers from the source into the Danube. Your underflow is located in the Upper Danube Nature Park.

Especially in summer, when the Danube almost completely disappears between Immendingen and Möhringen in the ground, and Elta Krähenbach are the first water supplier after Donauversickerung.
