Emich Christian of Leiningen-Dagsburg

Emich of Leiningen - Christian Dabo ( born March 29, 1642 of Dabo, † April 27, 1702 ) was by descent Count of Leiningen and Dabo and heir of Mr. Broich, Oberstein and Biirgel.

Life

Emich Christian was a son of Count Emich XIII. of Leiningen- Dabo (1612-1658) and Countess Dorothea von Waldeck- Wildungen ( 1617-1661 ).

After the death of his father William Wirich of Daun -Falkenstein in 1682 Emich Christian took possession of his legacy. On October 8, he was enfeoffed by Elector Johann Wilhelm of the Palatinate with the rule of Broich.

In March 1688 decided Johann Wilhelm of the Palatinate because of inheritance disputes in favor Emich Christian's nephew Johann Karl August von Leiningen- Dabo.

Marriage and issue

Emich Christian married on July 17, 1664 in Falkenstein Christiane Luise ( 1640-1717 ), a daughter of Count Wilhelm Wirich of Daun -Falkenstein and Countess Elisabeth von Waldeck ( 1610-1647 ). They had the following children:

  • Elisabeth Dorothea (* June 11, 1665, † 1722)
  • Friedrich ( † 1709)
