Emotional is the fourth studio album by the Austrian musician Falco. It came in October 1986 on the market and was highly acclaimed by critics, because Falco was very emotional traits here. Background

The first release from the album was The Sound of Music. The song was able to continue the predecessor especially abroad. With the song Falco addressed the disputed election of Kurt Waldheim to the Austrian President, who later made ​​the Waldheim affair sensation.

Next came in November 1986 Coming Home ( Jeanny Part 2, One Year Later). The single reached number one on the German charts (so it was also Falco's fourth and final number -one hit in Germany ). In the lyrics it comes to that Falco after a year in a psychiatric hospital (shown in the video) returns to Jeanny, which, however, disappeared.

In early 1987, came the Single Emotional out (B-side: Emotional - Her Side of the Story ). In the first song Falco sang that no woman in this world fit for him. In Her Side of the Story Falco's partner tells the story from their point of view, but not as Falco in German, but in English.

Dedications

In addition, the album includes a tribute to Robert Capa (1913-1954) and a tribute to the American actress Kathleen Turner. In addition, the album of his supposed daughter Katharina - Bianca is dedicated.
