Emsbach

Emsbach in Würges

The Emsbach (also called Ems) in the Taunus is a 39.1 km long, left-sided or southern tributary of the Lahn; it flows through the districts of the Hoch-Taunus, Rheingau -Taunus and Limburg -Weilburg.

River

The Emsbach rises in the High Taunus below the little box at the mountain in the municipality of glassworks. First, the flows through the district Oberems, across the border to the Rheingau -Taunus-Kreis and there by Waldems with the districts Wüstems, Niederems and Esch. Between Wüst and Niederems opens the Reichenbach, between Esch and Walsdorf of Fischbach.

In its further course of Emsbach flows past the Idsteiner Walsdorf district where the blast stream flows. The Golden reason is passed through the bath Camberger Districts Würges, Bad Camberg, Erbach and Oberselters. In Würges the Angelbach, in Erbach the Dombach opens. Furthermore, the Emsbach flows through Niederselters, Oberbrechen and Niederbrechen. Between the upper and Niederselters opens the Eisenbach, in Oberbrechen the Laubusbach and Niederbrechen with the Wörsbach the most important tributary of the Emsbach.

Finally it flows through Limburg- Lindenholzhausen and Runkel - Ennerich and flows north of mills, on the opposite side of Dietkirchen, in the Lahn.
