Endo Anaconda

Endo Anaconda ( born September 6, 1955 as Andreas Flückiger in Burgdorf ) is a Swiss singer-songwriter and writer. The fanciful name he chose Endo because Ändu that bern German abbreviation for Andrew, was not understood outside of the linguistic region. He is known primarily as a singer of the Bernese dialect band Stiller Has.

Life

Endo Anaconda was born as the son of an Austrian mother and a Swiss father. He spent his childhood first in Biel. As a five year old he lost his father - a police officer - when he was killed. At twelve, he was sent to a boarding school in Klagenfurt; later his family moved there. In Vienna, he trained as a screen printer.

In the early 1980s he returned to Switzerland and played in various Bernese music groups, among others, " Caduta Massi " and the " mountaineers ". In 1989 he founded with Balts Nill the band " Stiller Has " and brought with him their first joint MC with the title Stiller Has out. Since then, eight more studio albums and two live albums have been produced.

He is also a regular columnist in the Berner Zeitung under the pseudonym Bärbeisser and for Coopzeitung. Published in 2005 a selection of his Bärbeisser - columns under the name of sofa traveling Ammann Verlag; so that it was almost half a year to No. 1 on the Swiss book bestseller list. Anaconda has three children and lives in Ostermundigen near Bern.

Endo Anaconda first stage play " unpacking " was premiered on March 6, 2010 at the Lucerne Theater.
