Enid (Film)

Enid Blyton is a British television film directed by James Hawes, who celebrated the fall of 2009 on the English channel BBC Four premiere. The film is about the lives of famous children's author Enid Blyton. Actress Helena Bonham Carter plays the title role.

Action

The film is about the ambitious, dedicated, but initially unknown writer, from the creation of their imagination, about the misfortunes of her childhood, two world wars and a first marriage that ended in divorce, up to achieve great fame. The story explores how the calm clear words that Blyton created in their stories, with the complications of her own life clashed.

Production

The shooting took place in early 2009 in London and Surrey. The film is part of a series of different biopics about extraordinary women of the 20th century, produced by BBC Four, in which in addition to Enid Blyton more icons like Gracie Fields, Margot Fonteyn and Winnie Mandela appear.
