Enrique Fernández Viola

Enrique Fernández Viola ( born June 10, 1912 in Montevideo; † 6 October 1985) was an Uruguayan football player and coach. He is the only coach who won the Spanish Cup with FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Playing career

Fernández won in 1935 while he was playing on the side of Héctor Castro for Nacional Montevideo, with the national team, the Campeonato Sudamericano 1935. Between 1933 and 1935, he completed a total of 8 caps for the Uruguay national team, while shooting a goal. He made his debut on 21 January 1933. His last assignment in the Celeste dated January 27, 1935.

For the season 1935/36, the Uruguayan moved to FC Barcelona and won there twice the Catalan Championship. Fernández ' league debut for Barcelona was 1-0 against Espanyol on 10 November 1935.
