Enrique Leite

Enrique Leite, full name Enrique Miguel Leite Nada ( born December 12, 1963 in Villa del Cerro, Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan former swimmers and kayakers.

The 1.80 meter tall Leite began his sporting career as a swimmer. As such, he participated with Uruguay at the Pan American Games in 1979 in Puerto Rico, South America Games in 1982 in Argentina and the Pan American Games 1983 in Caracas. The South American Games in 1982 proved a very successful one for him. In addition to three gold medals over 200 meters breaststroke and 200 -meter and 400 -meter freestyle relay medals he won, including the four silver and one bronze.

Later he changed the sport and increased in the kayak competitions in one kayak. In this sport he participated in the Pan American Games in 1991 in Havana in the Uruguayan team. He was also in the squad of the Uruguayan team for the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. He was the one-man kayak on the 500 -meter and 1000 - meter course at the start. He took over 500 meters in the lead 3 of the first round in 5th place and space- oriented in Repechage 2 to position 6 of the classifications.
