Entrepreneurs du Monde is a non-governmental organization founded in France in 1988. The organization is represented in ten West African, Caribbean and Asian countries, and has set itself the goal to support microfinance programs for social purposes, so that disadvantaged women and men can be helped to pursue an income-generating activity.

History

The organization was in Colombes, Hauts -de -Seine, France founded in 1998 by its current director, Franck Renaudin, 3 Entrepreneurs du Monde has begun to support programs in the Philippines and India and 5 could only exist thanks to the voluntary commitment of the members. In 2003, the activities have evolved considerably and a first full-time employee could be set. In November of the same year, the headquarters was moved to Poitiers ( 86), France. The main building is shared with another NGO, '' '' Initiative Développement, which has passed its microfinance programs in Benin, Ghana and Haiti to Entrepreneurs du Monde in 2004 and 2005. The organization develops more new programs in the Philippines (2005), in India ( 2006), Cambodia (2006), Vietnam (2007), Mongolia ( 2008) and Burkina Faso (2008).

The socio -economic approach

Entrepreneurs du Monde supports 2009 59.600 microfinance clients in the year. The goal for 2010 is to help even more people with the action programs in the ten countries. The following services are provided for:

Structure and Funding

Entrepreneurs du Monde is under the " association" law of 1901 a non-profit society which 10 paid on 31 December 2009 and 3 voluntary persons employed, divided between its headquarters in Poitiers and the various programs in Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ghana, India, the Philippines and Vietnam. Entrepreneurs du Monde is from private individuals and foundations, as well as public institutions financed (Agence française de développement or AFD ).
