Erich Schönfelder

Erich Schoenfelder ( born April 23 1885 in Frankfurt / Main, † May 14, 1933 in Berlin) was a German actor and film director.

Life

Schoenfelder began as a 18 -year-old his acting career, which he pursued first in a touring theater, then, from 1920, in the German capital. There he was, as he gave information itself, " no fewer than seven theaters in Berlin [ ... ] worked as a comedian " and "here, as I believe created a good name. " First screenplays he wrote with Ernst Lubitsch and Hanns Kräly, then brought him Paul Davidson as an actor for the film, where he worked first in comic roles.

Schoenfelder specialized in rather simple entertainment films such as military farces, comedies of mistaken identity and other comedies.
