Erik Johnsen

Erik Johnsen ( born July 4, 1965 in Oslo ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

Career

His first jump at the Ski Jumping World Cup denied Johnsen on 21 March 1987 at his home hill in Oslo. He has already won a World Cup point with position 15. After a mixed Four Hills Tournament 1987/88 Johnsen was on 20 January 1988 at the Swiss St. Moritz the first time with a 2nd place on the podium at a World Cup competition.

At the Olympic Winter Games in 1988, where he was the youngest athlete in the Norwegian squad at age 22, Johnsen jumped on the normal hill on the 41st place and won the large hill behind Matti Nykänen the silver medal .. In the team competition, he reached together with Ole Christian Eidhammer, Jon Inge Kjørum and Ole Gunnar Fidjestøl the bronze medal.
