Ériu

Ériu [' e ː r ʴ u], also Eri and Éire, is a Queen of Ireland in Celtic mythology of Ireland.

Mythology

Eriu Bresals granddaughter, daughter of Ernmas and Delbaeth is in Lebor Gabala as Eirenn descendant Iarbonels, described and is a member of the Tuatha de Danaan. It applies together with her sisters Banba and Fohla as genius of the country Ireland, which symbolizes the rule of the country. The name Eriu is therefore sometimes used as the main name for Ireland. But even by her death at the Battle of Tailtu (now Teltown ) against the Milesians is reported in a version of the legend.
