Ervin László

Ervin László [ la ː slo ː ɛrvin ] ( born 1932 in Budapest) is a Hungarian philosopher of science, systems theorist, and author. He is president of the substantiated by the Club of Budapest and a member of the International Academy of Science and the World Academy of Arts and Science.

László deals with questions of metaphysics and ontology, is an important representative of systems theory, the general theory of evolution and of Integral theory and philosophy, futurology and aesthetics.

Although he realizes some of his theses in the physical context of a "Grand Unified Theory ", his writings are not quoted in the physical context. His theses can therefore not be understood as physical scientific viewpoints.

Music

Ervin László began as a pianist. He took 1947 as a fifteen year old at the Concours International de Musique in Geneva and took a leading position. The American record company RCA has at least produced an album with him, interpreted on the László piano works by Sibelius. In NDR Hamburg László has included in the sixties works by Liszt for broadcasting.

Work

Laszlo is the author of several books and numerous publications in international journals and magazines. He is the editor of the quarterly journal World Futures - The Journal of General Evolution and of the book series of World Futures General Evolution Studies, and co-editor of Behavioral Science and the four-volume Encyclopedia World Encyclopedia of Peace Peace. In 1993, László Foundation Club of Budapest, which sees itself as a future workshop on global issues.

His work in connection with mind and consciousness as well as the Morphogenetik also deals with a "Grand Unified Theory ". He refers also to the physicist Stephen W. Hawking, but Laszlo's theories have little in common with the unifying theories of physics. He expanded the target in physics unification of the four known elemental powers to a fifth field, which he calls psi- field or A- field.

In his work on a holistic view of the world ( " The fifth field ", " Holos ", and " At Home in the Universe " ) propagated Ervin László the idea of this fundamental new field to explain both quantum physics as well as numerous parapsychological phenomena. This A- box is to be a kind of cosmic memory ( Akashic Records ), in which in addition to nonlocal way faster than light by torsion and scalar information transfer is to take place in the quantum vacuum. The German physicist Christian sower keeps László's arguments in the field of natural sciences, despite a positive attitude towards his work, invalid, weak or non- mandatory.

Ervin László criticized in his books, the Darwinian theory of evolution as " inadequate explanation " and engages intensively on the arguments of the Intelligent Design movement (eg Michael Behe ) back.

Regarding the explanation of the phenomenon of consciousness represents Ervin László a variant of panpsychism and neutral monism ( Substanzmonismus with property dualism ), as opposed to purely physicalist interpretations such as by Daniel Dennett. Contrary to many other representatives of Integral thinking, such as Ken Wilber, to Ervin László strong preference against the idea of an immortal soul or life after death.
