Course

After the confluence of Baden and Württemberg Eschach the now stately river forms a part, narrow valley with limestone rock walls at the baffle slopes, a popular hiking area.

In Rottweil Bühlingen the Eschach combined with the Neckar. The confluence of the Neckar transformed by a stream in a small river. At this point the course of Eschach is almost twice as long as that of the Neckar river and its catchment area, as well as their water levels are about three times as large. Nevertheless applies the Neckar, which retains its direction of flow, as the main river. As hydrographic Hauptquellast the Neckar system, however, the springing on Brogen Glasbach ( Glasbach → Fischbach → Badische Eschach → Eschach ) apply.

Once flowed over the Eschach its present mouth of the River further to the southeast. This Ureschach called flow resulted in today Tuttlingen in the former Aare- Danube.
