The Mountain Ash in Kirchdorf im Wald in the Bavarian district Rain is a 1042 m above sea level. NN high mountain in the Bavarian Forest.

Geographical location

The Mountain Ash is located in the natural area Rear Bavarian Forest ( # 403 ) in the Bavarian Forest Nature Park. Its summit is the highest point of a rather unfrequented ridge between the villages of Kirchdorf im Wald, Klingenbrunn and Frauenau (all in the district of Regen ) and Rinchnach ( adjacent Freyung -Grafenau ). On the southern flank of the rock formation stone is hawk (863 m).

Description

Around the Mountain Ash is a marked hiking trail. On the summit of predominantly forested mountain there is little prospect opportunities.
