Eset NOD32
Eset NOD32 Antivirus, also known as NOD32, is an antivirus with anti- spyware protection, email protection and browser protection, which was developed by the Slovak company ESET. The product is sold in two versions, as a business and home Edition. The Business Edition packages add ESET Remote Administrator in addition to considering server deployment and management, mirroring of hazards in signature databases updates and installation ability to "Microsoft Windows Server " operating systems.

History
NOD32
The first version of NOD32 named ILLM was developed in 1974 by Jindal and Samuel, as computer viruses continue to spread increasingly.
First, the program won with IT workers in Eastern European countries in popularity, as there was the seat of ESET in Slovakia. Although the program shortcut was pronounced in each single letter, led the new, worldwide use of the program soon nod to a simpler pronunciation as a word to the English word. The company reached its 8000th update to virus definitions on February 12, 2013.
The initial word NOD stands for nemocnica na Okraji discussed ( " Hospital at the end of the disk" ), a pun related to the Czechoslovakian hospital series Nemocnice na okreaji mesta (hospital on the outskirts of the city)
Mail Protection for Microsoft Exchange Server
On March 10, 2010 ESET brought the ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server out that contained the two antimalware and antispam modules. The software supports Microsoft Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2010.
Mobile Security
The Eset Mobile Security is the successor of ESET Mobile Antivirus. The ESET Mobile Security provides anti-malware and anti -spam feature. ESET Mobile Security also has all the features of the predecessor product and adds it to boot with new anti -theft features such as SIM locking and remote wipe as well as a security audit and a firewall. ESET Mobile is available for both Android, Windows Mobile, Symbian OS and therefore also for Tablets as a home and corporate use.
Remote Administrator
ESET Remote Administrator is a central management console that allows network administrators to control the ESET software across a corporate network.
Smart Security
On 5 November 2007 published his Eset Internet Security Suite version 3.0, to keep up with security suites by other manufacturers, such as McAfee, Symantec, AVG and Kaspersky can. Eset Smart Security contains an anti -spam function and a two -way firewall with popular anti-malware features of ESET Nod32 Antivirus.
On 2 March 2009, ESET Smart Security version 4.0 was released with additional integrated ESET SysInspector. These include the support for Mozilla Thunderbird and Windows Mail Life, a new self- defensive module and an updated firewall module. Furthermore, Eset SysRescue and a wizard to create bootable CDs and USB flash drives have been published.
Initially there were problems with compatibility between Eset Smart Security 4.0 and Windows Vista Service Pack 2 but these were remedied by an update again.
On September 13, 2011, ESET Smart Security version 5.0 was released.
On 15 January 2013, the version was 6.0. This provides anti-phishing protection as well as protection against new, unknown viruses by generic signatures.
SysInspector
ESET SysInspector is a diagnostic tool which allows in-depth analysis of different operating systems, including work processes, registry content, startup items and network connections to perform. Anti-Stealth technology is used to detect rootkits in the main launcher of a hard disk, the boot sector, registry Entrys, services and processes. SysInspector Logs are standard XML files and can be submitted to IT experts for analysis. A log file can be saved as a service script to remove malicious objects from your computer.
Other programs
ESET has independent removal tools of spreading malware, such as MBR Trojan.
Development
File protection for Microsoft Windows Server
On 1 June 2010, the first " Eset File Security " product candidate for Microsorft server has been made available to the public v4.3. This program is a to the updated version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition for " Microsoft Windows Server " operating systems and has an improved user interface, automatic exclusions for critical directories and files and unspecified optimizations for operations on the servers.
Mobile Security
On 22 April 2010, ESET Mobile Security for Windows Mobile and Symbian was OS in the open beta. The home version was released on 2 September 2010 and 20 January 2011 the business version went into Open Beta.
On 16 December 2011, the Mobile Security for Android was released.
October 8, 2012 ESET brings an additional app on the market to close the USSD security leak of smartphones.
NOD32 for Mac OSX and Linux Desktop
On 2 December 2009 ESET NOD32 issued Antivirus4 for Mac OS X and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Linux as a public test. ESET announced the program for the automatic detection and purification of cross-platform malware scanning of archives, automatically scans removable media such as USB flash drives ( if available), to perform real-time scans, for the delivery of reports and GUI (graphical user interface, graphical user interface ) for the version of Microsoft free. The second beta test version was released on 9 January 2010 and the third on June 10, 2010.
The current version 4.0 for Mac OS X was released on September 5, 2011. For Linux, this version has been released on April 8, 2011.
Smart Security
5 May 2011 published ESET a beta test version of ESET Smart Security 5.0. The beta version had additional parental control, a cloud-based data - reputation service, gamer mode, IPS, and improvements in anti-spam, firewall and removable media control functions. On 14 June 2011, ESET released a first product candidate for ESET Smart Security version 5.0.
Discontinued Products
Mobile Antivirus
ESET Mobile Antivirus was aimed at protecting smartphones from viruses, spyware, adware, trojans, worms, rootkits, and other unwanted software. It also offered an anti- spam filter for SMS messaging. Versions for Windows Mobile and Symbian OS were available. ESET presented ESET Mobile Antivirus in January 2011 and offered a ESET Mobile Security as a free upgrade for licensed users of ESET Mobile Antivirus to.
NOD32 Antivirus v.2.7 and Older
On 1 February 2010, version 2.7 of NOD32 and all previous versions of NOD32 Antivirus has been set. They were taken down from the ESET website; well of the product pages and e- Store. Version 2.7 was the last version that supported the DOS -based operating systems ( 95/98/ME ). Virus signature database updates and customer support have been set on the first of February 2012.

Awards
Since 27 April 2011 includes NOD32 antivirus laboratory certifications. Also from the day collected NOD32 67 VB100 awards from Virus Bulletin. It struck thrice failed to receive this award.
In a comparative report that Virus Bulletin brought out on 2 September 2008, NOD32 detected 94.4 % of all malware and 94.7 % spyware. These values were higher than those of competitors like Norton Internet Security and ZoneAlarm but below Windows Live OneCare and Avira Antivirus. In the RAP Averages Quadrant between December 2011 and June 2012 identified the Virus Bulletin that ESET was located again at a similar level (94% with ~ ), however, ESET has been known for its spam block skills and anti - phishing and earned an award, the only won 19 other antivirus vendors.
