Eugène Georges Joseph Lecrosnier

Eugène Georges Joseph Lecrosnier ( born April 20, 1923 in Maupertuis, † October 15, 2013 in Coutances ) was Bishop of Belfort -Montbéliard.

Life

Eugène Lecrosnier studied philosophy and theology at the seminary at Coutances and received on 20 December 1947, the ordination. From 1947 to 1949 he studied social sciences at the Institut Catholique de Paris. He was active in pastoral ministry in Cherbourg ( 1949-1953 ). In addition, he was chaplain of the Catholic Action ouvrière (ACO ). On 1 February 1962 he was appointed vicar-general and archdeacon of Cherbourg.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him auxiliary bishop on 21 April 1969 in Chambéry and Titular Bishop of San Leone. The Archbishop of Chambéry André- Georges Bontems consecrated him on 21 June of the same year the bishop; Were co-consecrators Louis -Jean -Frédéric Guyot, Archbishop of Toulouse, and Joseph Gustave François Wicquart, Bishop of Coutances -Avranches.
