Features

To subscribe to the forewing usually include something indistinct basal, medial ante and post- medial lines cross. The post medial line is often not doubly bent sharply near the Costa loader. The Diskalflecke are usually in the form clearly. On the fore wings, the wire is long and not R1 merges with the vein Sc. The areola may be provided with cross- veins. On the hind wings the veins arise M3 and cua1 separated from the cell. The Hintertibien have two pairs of spurs.

In the male the uncus is usually membranous. Basal he is widest at the top and sclerotized, hook-like and pointed. It may be formed one or two peaks. In some species the uncus is completely membranous and spatulate. The Valven are variable in size and shape and often have the shape of an orange segment. In some species, ventral appendages are formed. The juxtaposition is transversely at its widest, oval or kidney- shaped and has at the top, two narrow apical praise. The vesica of the aedeagus is provided with one or more differently shaped Cornuti. This can have a horn-shaped, tubular, serrated or flat and curved shape and sometimes provided with a spot smaller needles. The sternum A8 is usually at the base at its widest and has a shallow depression at the base. This has in a way consistent shape in some species, they can also be slightly variable.

In females, the bursa copulatrix sclerotized membranous is to strong. The size and shape is variable and in some species may be at the base of a membranous diverticulum ( a sac-like protrusion ) may be present. The bursa copulatrix may be provided with a number of signals whose position is variable. The Colliculum is well developed and sclerotized. It's collar or plate shaped. The Lamella antevaginalis missing. The spurs of the anterior apophyses are either striking and have an enlarged apex, or they are reduced.

The moths are characterized by very narrow wings. The wingspan of the usually very small moth moves usually 12 to 28 millimeters. In rest position the wings are stretched, bent almost at right angles or made weak, the rear wings are hidden completely or partially behind the front wings.

The caterpillars are mostly slim and feed in most species of the flowers and fruits of the food plants. Why is customary for the genre of the German name Pug.
