European College of Parma

The Collegio Europeo di Parma Foundation is a college that is funded by the University of Parma and other national and municipal institutions.

History and doctrine

The college was founded in 1988 by several local institutions. The aim was to promote the "European Studies" in Parma and the Emilia-Romagna region, and the development of an institute where you can study European law, European politics and European economics.

In 2003, the college was re-established as a foundation, similar to the institutes of the College of Europe in Bruges and Natolin in Poland. Simultaneously, the current study offer was introduced and presented by the President of the European Commission, Romano Prodi during the opening of the first academic year 2003-2004. The training consists of an interdisciplinary degree program for the process of European integration. As graduation, students receive a Diploma in Advanced European Studies.

The Scientific Committee of the College consists of Cesare Azzali, Martin Bange man, Andrea Boltho, Etienne Davignon, Jacques Delors, Franco Frattini, Erik Jones, Alfonso Mattera, Franco Mosconi, Ana Palacio and Romano Prodi.
