European Federation of American Football

The European Federation of American Football ( EFAF ) is the European umbrella organization for American football, based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The tasks of the EFAF it belongs competitions at European level in the areas of American football, flag football and to organize Cheerleading. The association was founded in late 1993, as the successor organization of the EFL.

European Competitions

The EFAF Addresses the following competitions from:

  • European Football League (EFL ) with the Euro Bowl as a finale, the "Champions League" the best club teams (see also Table of European Football League participant )
  • EFAF Cup, another competition for club teams, similar to the " UEFA Cup" (see also List of EFAF Cup participant )
  • EFAF Challenge Cup and EFAF Atlantic Cup, the UEFA Intertoto Cup comparable European Cup, both of which are intended to introduce teams of " weaker" countries at the international level. Both cups are equal, the team's allocation is based on a geographical basis.
  • European Championship for national teams for Seniors and Juniors
  • Allstar European, Europe's best young players compete in the run-up to the Super Bowl in the National Football League ( NFL) against teams from other continents (2004 was the participation of the Junior European Champion and Vice- Champion replaced)
  • EUROFLAG, European Championship of the National Flag
  • Cheerleader Championship
