European Garden Heritage Network

The European Garden Heritage Network ( European Garden Heritage Network, EGHN short ) is a partnership of government agencies, tourism agencies, non-profit associations, regional associations of municipalities and foundations with the aim to promote the preservation of parks, gardens and green spaces. Thus, the regions of East Westphalia- Lippe, Münster land, the Ruhr and Rhineland (all of North Rhine -Westphalia, Germany ), Pays de la Loire ( France), Somerset, Surrey and Cheshire have (all three England) developed a Garden Route, on the particularly remarkable gardens and Botanical gardens to visit. New Routes in West Flanders (Belgium) and in the Dutch province of Limburg were presented to the public in May 2008. In June 2009, a route in the region of Northern Hesse has been added.

Was brought to life the EGHN 2003 under INTERREG IIIB NWE ( Northwest Europe), a joint initiative of the European Regional Development Fund. Promoter is the self-employed civil law foundation center for Garden Art and Landscape Design, Stiftung Schloss Dyck in Juechen.
