Euterpe

Euterpe or Eutelpe ( altgr. Ἐυτέρπη ' the gladdening, Ergötzende ') is one of the nine muses that usually holds as representative of the art of music and lyric poetry; its symbol is therefore also a flute or aulos (double flute). In late Roman times it was regarded as a muse of lyric poetry and flute play.
