Exilia is an Italian nu-metal band.

Band History

Exilia formed in 1993 in Milan, when Masha met in a record store on the guitarist Elio Alien.

Listed among others they were the opening act for Guano Apes, H -Blockx, Clawfinger, HIM, Therapy?, Oomph!, In Extremo, The Doctors, Rammstein and Ill Niño.

Their debut album, Right Side Up was released in 2000. The following album Unleashed was released in May 2004 and placed himself right off the bat in the top 40 of the German charts. In April 2005, the first line-up change takes place on drums. Andrea Ge made ​​room for ale.

After 2006 " Nobody Excluded " was released and the band in 2008 was pretty much gone from the scene, came Exilia 2009 with their next album " My own Army" back, which is about the new record company Milan AFM Records released the first time. Shortly after the album's release Exilia went with Ill Nino and God Forbid on European tour. It was also played at various festivals in the summer of 2009. Before the release of the album singer Masha explained in an interview with the German Metal Webzine sounds2move.de that song and album title of " My own Army" due to her mother's death in 2008, the album, according to a note in the booklet is dedicated.

At the beginning of 2011, the band announced their new album entitled " Decode ", the cover of which was disseminated through various channels such as the band 's website and the Facebook profile of the band. Release date was the 30th March 2012.

On 23 April 2011, the band on their Facebook profile announced the departure of guitarist and band co-founder Elio Alien, and provides a few days later a new guitarist named " Aimer " before.
