Eyebrook Reservoir

Practice site for Operation Chastise

The Eyebrook Reservoir is a reservoir in the East Midlands in England. It lies on the borders of Leicestershire and Rutland, 2 km south of Uppingham and 6 km north of Corby and is drained by the Eye Brook. The lake was created 1937-1940 by Stewards & Lloyds to supply their steel plant in Corby with water. In May 1943, he served as a training area for Operation Chastise. He's a under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 protected area and a fishing area for trout.
