Uppingham

Uppingham is a comune ( civil parish ) in the English Unitary Authority Rutland in the East Midlands region. In 2004 it counted 3,947 residents.

In the village there is the boarding Uppingham School, founded in 1584.

Traffic

The A- road A 6003 performs Uppingham and Oakham connects the village to the north and Corby and Kettering in the south. At the northern end of the town, the A 6003 crosses the highway A 47 ( west to Leicester, east to Peterborough, Wisbech, King's Lynn, Norwich, Great Yarmouth ).

With the French community Caudebec -en- Caux, Haute -Normandie is a community partnership.
